Team Profile

The Piranhas comprise one squad of 26 players who have signed up for one of two Piranhas teams, depending on whether they wish to play Saturday (in the East Berks Football League) or Sunday (Surrey Primary League) football.

A small number of players have been with the squad since they were four years old but as the Piranhas set-up has evolved, so our player catchment has expanded. The players now come from a wide variety of local secondary schools, including Woking High, Christ’s College, Salesian, George Abbott, Guildford County, Kings College and St Peter’s.

We currently have a number of players looking to join us but we always set our sights well ahead for the following season – and with this in mind would love to hear from any player who would like to come and try us out. We are especially keen to hear from budding goalkeepers and defenders. Whatever your preferred position – and no matter how able you are on the pitch, we have one important motto: ‘No stars!’. Piranhas train as a team and play as a team – each player is encouraged to think and act in this way.
