Hawks are an enthusiastic, committed and talented group who have all improved as players throughout the course of recent seasons. The lads play ‘proper’ football, have good tactical awareness and a real togetherness as a team. We average 90% plus turnout of the squad for training across the whole season – and what we lack in stature, we make up for in heart.
Some of the team, Conor, Olly, Ben, Adam and Zack have been together since the team was formed, but it has been especially pleasing to see how the new players have integrated this season both from a playing and social perspective.
Making the big step to 11 a-side, full size pitch etc. has proved a challenge this year but the lads have shown great character throughout. We are still looking to strengthen the side and with the addition of a player in each of defence, midfield and attack we will be well equipped to compete for more honours next season.
