Results Round-Up: Sunday 18th December 2016

As Christmas rapidly approaches, it was perhaps not surprising that little football was played by our senior teams today.

Of the five fixtures scheduled, the Club notched up two wins and three losses.

Santa hats off to our young U12 upstarts who secured an away League win,1-2, against Walton Casuals Juniors Warriors – and to the U14 Trojans who bounced back in style from last week’s County Cup defeat to progress in the SPL U14 Senior Trophy competition, beating Farncombe Youth Rockets by a whisker, 6-5 at home.

The Bah Humbug awards this week go to U13 Warriors, losing at home in the League 2-4 to Epsom and Ewell Colts Whites, while both U16 teams fell foul of their respective opponents.  The U16 (SYL) narrowly lost at home in the Super League to Ashford Town Colts, 1-2, while the U16 (SPL) team faced an identical fate, losing 2-1 away to Spelthorne Sports Navys.

Results Round-Up will now take a well-earned break for three weeks while all players and coaching staff hang up their boots and recharge their batteries.
