WRFC Chairman Peter Horncastle Stands Down Due to Ill-Health

Peter Horncastle, Club Chairman July 2011 – October 2016

We are sad to have to advise that our Chairman, Peter Horncastle, recently suffered a severe heart attack and has had to resign from his role with immediate effect to concentrate on regaining his health.

Peter has been a driving force in the Club, and his hard work, commitment and enthusiasm have been invaluable. He will be a hard act to follow. He continues to retain interest in the Club as his son still plays for Worplesdon Rangers FC, and it is hoped that he might return to ‘lighter duties’ at some point in the future.

We are sure that you will all join the Committee in wishing to extend our heartfelt gratitude for all that Peter has done for the Club in the last five seasons as Chairman, and hope that he enjoys a speedy return to full health
