Worplesdon Rangers’ Magic Boosts Cards To Win 2-0 Against Wrexham!
Worplesdon Rangers players were out in force this afternoon at the Laithwaite Community Stadium, to witness the Cards secure a 2-0 victory in the Vanarama National Football League.
As part of the Club’s new collaboration with Woking FC Football in the Community, our U7s, U10s and U13s were all involved in the action.
The Under 7 Wolves were invited on a tour of the Laithwaite Stadium and an opportunity to meet KC Cat. For several of the boys, it was their first taste of a live football match, although it was hard to tell whether the players or the accompanying Dads were the more starry-eyed!
The U10 Scorpions were also on hand to help out as ball boys, working hard in their WRFC kits to keep the momentum of the match going.
At it fell to the U13 Warriors to provide the Guard of Honour for the players…..
With goals from Fabio Saraiva and substitute Chike Kandi, Woking made it two wins in a row today and next entertain at home in two weeks time, when Eastleigh are the visitors to The Laithwaite Community Stadium.
Our thanks go to Chris Sexton, Senior Development Coach and Coach Mentor at Woking FC and to Sean Crooke, WRFC Club Development Officer, for organising today’s visit for the boys. We hope that it will be the first of many!
