U15 Piranhas and U17 Hurricanes Release Cup Final Fixture Details!
The Club is proud to announce that two of its senior teams have made it through to their respective League Cup Finals this season.
Please come and show your support for our players who have worked incredibly hard to get this far. Both teams have had strong League seasons as well as their respective Cup competition successes to date. Watching these matches will be an invaluable experience for all our players, regardless of which age group they play in!
WRFC U15 Piranhas (SYL) – Surrey Youth League U15 Invitation Cup
Managed and coached by Paul Sarney and Andy Barry, the Piranhas saw Cup Final action at the end of last season but were narrowly defeated by Yateley. They said they’d be back – and the team has lived up to its promise! The SYL Piranhas are currently top of the Surrey Youth League U15 ‘Super’ Division, with 36 points and three games to play – and will continue to fight for the top spot with Motspur Park and AFC Ewell. We wish them well with their continued League campaign and the lure of promotion to the SYL U16 Championship Division next season.
The road to Cup Final glory looks easy on paper for Piranhas but the reality is that the team has competed against 39 other teams across five rounds of the competition to get this far….

Effectively this season’s winners of the SPL U17 Premier Division with three games to spare, Hurricanes remain unbeaten in the League so far this season and will be strong contenders for SPL Premier Elite football next season. As if that were not enough, the Hurricanes have taken the League Cup competition in their stride admirably as well:
