Feedback: The Breakfast of Champions

Great for Sean Crooke (Manager of WRFC U14 Lions) to receive such positive feedback from his opposition Manager at Farnham United after last Sunday’s game.

You may have seen the Lions’ match report that was posted here the following day.  Upon finding that their opponents could only muster eight players for the game, Sean willingly reduced his team to the same number, in the interest of fair play.  The outcome was still a resounding victory for the Lions but the good sportsmanship on display made for a thoroughly enjoyable morning for everyone involved.

Well done Sean – you and the players are a credit to the Club…and thank you Richard Fulham from Farnham United Youth Falcons for your kind words, reprinted below:

Subject: Sunday’s Game

Sean

Thanks for the name of the ref and sharing the support.  More importantly, thanks to you, your team and supporters for the way you approached the game on Sunday. Having always dropped numbers to match an opposition struggling for players I have been dismayed not to have this reciprocated on the rare occasion when we have struggled.

Your boys were a credit to themselves in the way they conducted themselves in victory – which is always a good test.

Thanks

Richard
