WRFC U12 1 – 3 AFC Brooklands

U12s On the Move….

The U12s drew AFC Brooklands Hawks in the SPL Senior Cup on Sunday and went into the match very much the underdogs, playing a team that currently sits top of the SPL U12 Premier Elite, two divisions – nearly three – above them.

By all accounts, the boys did their Club and parents proud, in what was an excellent game: 1-0 up at half-time and only losing 3-1 in the end, to a much higher seeded team.

Fred was the goalscorer for WRFC, with Ethan and Felix jointly sharing MoM.

Commented Co-Coach Les West after the full-time whistle, ‘….The game was a credit to all the boys.  In fact we were unlucky not to have achieved a draw or even a win by the end of full-time’.
