U12 Warriors Bid Farewell to Cardwell’s Keep In 4-1 Home Victory Over Rocks Lane United

U12 Warriors and Their Loyal Fans Bid a Fond Farewell To Cardwells Keep!

U12 Warriors and Their Loyal Fans Bid a Fond Farewell To Cardwells Keep!

U12 Warriors pulled in a capacity home crowd (26) today, as parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins turned out to cheer the team on at their last home fixture of the season against Rocks Lane United.  This was also Warriors’ departing salvo from Cardwells Keep, which has been their home ground for the past two years, during which the players have cut their teeth on 9v9 football.

All the goals for both teams came in the first half, with Marc and Jack adding a brace apiece to Warriors’ final tally.

A big thank you from all the players and parents to Dan, Martyn, Julian, Christian, Mark and Olie for their coaching, good humour and perseverance, to Team Rep Margaret for her excellent behind the scenes organisation, to Colin and Andrea for running the Cardwells tea stall so generously (netting £438.00 this season alone….) and to team sponsors Excaliba and Deep C.  And of course, a big thank-you to the parents as well….Warriors are fortunate to pull in a good crowd each week, whether home or away.

Today’s three points edge Warriors ever closer to a top-four finish, in what has been their first season in the Surrey Youth League Division 2.
