Surrey FA Young Leaders’ Camp

d2dzjyo4yc2sta.cloudfront.netSurrey FA’s Young Leaders’ Camp is an event which is aimed at 14-25 year olds, bringing together like minded individuals in the County to learn and develop their knowledge of various areas within football. Workshops over the two days include: Disability, Coaching, Refereeing, Soccercise & Media Campaigns.

The camp is being run over 2 days and you MUST be able to attend both days;
Dates: Thursday 2nd & Friday 3rd June
Times: 10am – 4pm on both days
Venue: Sutton United FC, The Borough Sports Ground, Gander Green Lane, Sutton, SM1 2EY.

This year, SFA is offering its Young Leaders’ Camp attendees an exclusive offer of a significantly reduced rate choice of two courses specifically for attendees of the camp. The options are either a Junior Football Leaders’ Course or Level 1 Futsal Coaching Course. See below for more information on these courses – places are limited and will be on a first come, first served basis so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Junior Football Leaders (JFL) Course: 
Date: Saturday 6th August
Time: 10am – 4.30pm
Venue: Horsley FC, Tom’s Field, Long Reach, West Horsley, Surrey, KT24 6NE

The course provides a basic introduction to the leadership skills involved in football. The course will primarily introduce four areas:

•         Assisting football activity sessions
•         Introduction to refereeing
•         Helping with a team
•         Different football events

Respect, promoting the game and developing the game will be embedded during the course, aiming to provide learners with an introduction to the leadership skills that may be used within the game and beyond.

Level 1 Futsal Coaching Course:
Date: Saturday 6th August
Time: 10am – 4.30pm
Venue: St George’s College, Weybridge Road, Addlestone, Surrey, KT15 2QS.

The aim of this course is to provide candidates with an understanding of the techniques and skills related to the game of Futsal. This course will help candidates organise and deliver basic Futsal practices. It will also provide candidates with an introduction to the structure of the game, the laws and the role Futsal can play in developing underlying techniques and skills.
PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 16 YEARS OLD TO ATTEND THIS COURSE.
