To paraphrase Mark Twain, there are lies, damned lies and then there are statistics – and you could be forgiven for dining out on today’s headline stat for the rest of the season:

‘Worplesdon Rangers FC delivers a 100% win rate!’.

Fake news? Absolutely not….but what the statistic masks is that only one game got played at senior level today, with four teams having no fixture and another four suffering postponements due to the torrential rain and waterlogged pitches.

Big it up therefore for the U16 (SPL) squad who braved the elements and who secured three points with an away victory against Byfleet Village Cobras.
