‘One Club’ Trophy Day 2016 Recognises Club Successes On and Off the Pitch
15th WRFC Trophy Day 2016
Sunday 5th June 2016, Fairlands Community Hall

Brian Slyfield: Trophy Day Maestro
What a season!
Two weekends ago saw the Club’s 15th anniversary celebrations, including the annual Trophy Day event at Fairlands Community Hall. Running in parallel was the Club’s Fun Day on the Fairlands playing field, providing players and their families with an opportunity to bask in the sunshine and raise some additional funds for next season.
In keeping with tradition, Trophy Day was used to celebrate successes both on the pitch and off it, recognising both our players and our volunteers who work so hard to make the Club the success that it is.

Star Billing: Woking FC’s KC Cat
We were joined on the day by WRFC Life President Rupert Phillips and also by KC Cat, the Woking FC mascot (who turned up complete with handler) for the younger age groups. We will no doubt be seeing a lot more of KC Cat as the Club cements its relationship with Woking FC ahead of next season!
Mini-Rangers: Reception

WRFC Life President, Rupert Phillips Retires After 30 Years In Youth Football – Fourteen Of Them With Worplesdon Rangers FC
Proceedings got under way with a Club presentation to Rupert Phillips, WRFC Life President. Rupert had already signalled his intention to stand down from managing the Northmead Mini-Soccer Centre earlier in the season and was recognised for his contribution to the Club over the past 14 years with a commemorative plate, awarded by Deputy Chairman, Brian Slyfield.
Coaches Rupert Phillips and Tony Mainee then set about handing out the awards to our youngest players – the Reception Mini-Rangers. KC Cat offered a reassuring paw to each player, although it was difficult to predict in advance what each player’s reaction would be to the footballing feline….
