13 Year-Old Footballer Collapses During Training at Dunbeth FC
Youth football lost a budding young star when a 13-year-old boy from Dunbeth FC died after collapsing during a football training session. Kieran McDade was taken to hospital after collapsing while on the pitch at Dunbeth Football Club in Coatbridge on 18 August 2016.
The Forth Valley Football Development Association (FVFDA) announced on Facebook earlier this week that as a mark of respect, a minute’s silence will be held at all youth games on Saturday and no games will be cancelled as ‘Kieran loved his football’. Kieran was an original member of the club’s 2003 intake.
The club described Kieran as “….A popular boy who gave his all for his team and will forever be remembered for the League Championship he proudly won with his team mates and all the good memories that came with that’.
