Our pilot collaboration with Worplesdon Phoenix FC was completed today by WRFC U16 Tigers, who secured a valuable home point against SPL Championship rivals Meadow Sports.

Worplesdon Rangers and Worplesdon Phoenix agreed to pilot five games (of which today’s was the fifth) to test the basis of a future collaboration between the two clubs next season.  In addition to using WPFC’s Memorial Ground for the five pilot matches (which have also involved U17 Hurricanes), WRFC has also benefited from using the pavilion building and bar for Committee Meetings since January, as part of the pilot.  The two clubs will be meeting in mid-April to discuss the pilot arrangement and to determine whether there is a viable basis for a longer-term tie-up next season.
