U11 Dinamo Overpower U12 Warriors In Training Match Friendly!

Today’s training friendly at Cardwell’s Keep saw U11 Dinamo steal a march on their older friends U12 Warriors, winning 3-1 in a game of three 15-minute thirds, mixing teams and match formats.

The first quarter ran as a full 11-a-side event, with Warriors Marc and Cristiano electing to make up the numbers for Dinamo.  Kieran put Dinamo 1-0 ahead, following through on a Marc assist.

Q2 saw another bout of 11v11, with Cristiano returning to Warriors but with Marc staying on for Dinamo.  Alfie netted a second for the Dinamo cause – from a well-executed cross, courtesy of James.

The final third reverted to the more familiar 9v9 format for both teams, with Marc also returning to play alongside his Warriors’ team-mates.  Charlie managed to get Warriors back in the game with a close-range effort, picking up on a Marc assist….2-1 to Dinamo…..However, a flash of brilliance from the artful Alfie, taking on two Warriors’ defenders, allowed him to unleash a powerful shot to make it 3-1 to Dinamo.  Warriors were left to lick their wounds and then consolation chocolate, accepting an early Easter gift from Andrea and Colin!  Thanks to Christian Pott for refereeing….and well done both teams for some entertaining football!
